During this unpredictable and scary time for the world, you will likely be spending more time at home. Many schools have shut down, some employees are working remotely, and people are being urged to stay put. This likely means that you will avoid going to your gym. We wanted to put a list together of all of our at-home workout resources. We are also offering our 4-Week Busy Body Workout Plan for FREE (normally it’s $25).
Before we get into the workout resources, we urge you to see what you can do to help others right now.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you are healthy and able, check if any elderly neighbors or those with underlying health conditions that put them in a higher risk category need any assistance with grocery shopping. Also, think about the nursing homes that have been closed off to visitors. Could you make bags for them that include things like puzzles, DVDs, snacks, water, etc? Call around to your local nursing homes to see what you can do to help.
Are there families around you that might struggle to feed their kids? If you are financially able to help, please consider lending a helping hand. This will have an impact on A LOT of people. Many of our local school systems are delivering food but the longer the kids are out of school the more help will be needed.
Do you have friends, family members, or neighbors who still have to go IN to work? Could you help them with childcare, sharing groceries, or grocery shopping for them?
Animal shelters and rescues are also being hit hard by this. Have you been looking to adopt? Now is the perfect time since your family will be at home. If you can’t adopt try fostering to give the animals a break from the shelter. Call your local rescue group or shelter to see how you can help. Now is the perfect time to extend a helping hand.
AT-HOME WORKOUT RESOURCES
- UPDATE 03/31/2021: This plan was provided for free for over a year. The original price was $25 and was just updated to $15 if you are interested in purchasing this great plan! The Busy-Body workout plan is a plan that can be done at home. There are weights and/or bands required for some exercises but if you do not have access to those you can use things you find around your house (cans of food or gallons of water or milk). If you absolutely do not have access to anything to use as weights, skip those exercises and continue on to ones that you can do as just bodyweight.
- I was in the process of updating our workout plans when this pandemic hit so once I update this workout plan I will send an email to alert of any changes. I apologize in advance for any links that are broken but I wanted to go ahead and get this pushed out to you ASAP.

HIKING OPTIONS
If you are still able to get outside for some fresh air try going on a hike! As you may know, we love hiking and it’s always our choice of cardio so we have a lot of hiking resources that you might find helpful during this uncertain time.
** Update: Many National Parks and State Parks are closing down because of the crowds. I want to edit my suggestion to say only hike locally… do not drive to small mountain towns to hike. These small communities do not have the resources in case the virus is spread up there. When you have to drive far to hike you will likely stop to get gas (germs) and eat (germs). Pack what you need so you don’t have to stop and get gas before you leave. And, as we always say, get started early. Still, the best option is to stay close to home by taking a walk around your neighborhood so you are able to maintain the recommended 6-foot distance.
