This is my favorite recipe so far! I haven't had real cookie dough in over a year & I am the kind of person who prefers to eat the cookie dough instead of the cookies. I have had this recipe in the works for weeks now trying to perfect it. Let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
1/2 c quick cooking oats
1/4 c natural peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp honey
1/4 c egg whites (make sure you use the 100% egg whites, pasteurized)
1 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender (as shown below).
2. Place wax paper on a plate & add cookie dough (you can shape however you would like).
3. This is the hard part...put them in the freezer for at least an hour. I have found that after 2 hours they taste the best!
Can you tell that we LOVE this recipe?
Makes 15 pieces (that is if all of your dough makes it into the freezer). One serving is 4 pieces.

ReplyDeleteThanks Haley! Let us know how it turns out! :-)
DeleteThanks so much for posting this. I am definitely going to make this when I make all my food for the week next Sunday.
ReplyDeleteYou should make them before Sunday. ;-)
DeleteI can't wait to try! Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Britty! Hope you enjoy them!
Deletemmm looks yummy might have to try this tonight
ReplyDeleteLet us know how they turn out Liann!
DeleteYum! They look so good! Can you cook them? Just wondering if this recipe can be turned into cookies! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried to cook them. I have gotten this question a few times today so I will try it soon & see what happens. I will have to add a few ingredients to them. I'll let you know what happens!
DeleteYou are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAww! Yay! Thank you! :-)
DeleteI, too, would like to know if you can cook them and get a good result?
ReplyDeleteI will try soon & let you know! If it turns out it will be posted on the blog. :-)
Deletesoo one cookie is really 4 servings??? or 4 pieces???
ReplyDeleteFour little "dough balls" are one serving...the macros are per piece though so that people can decide how many they truly want to eat. :-) Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteI accidentally deleted my above comment (sorry!) But, I love this recipe. I just made two batches and I was really surprised how FULL just a little bit made me! I ate some fresh out of the blender and they were warm, almost like fresh-baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed it!! I eat a lot of it straight out of the blender as well - yummy! Thanks for following us!
DeleteWOW...I'm in love now for sure...Clean-Cookie-Dough...that's what I'm talkin' about. Thanx!!
ReplyDeleteGive it a try & let us know what you think!
DeleteI'm going to try this, but alter it slightly. Instead of the 1/4 C peanut butter I'm going to use 1/4 C whole wheat and instead of 1 T almond milk I'm going to use 1 T whole milk. I'll let you know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteI just made these using 1 scoop chocolate peanut butter whey protein, 2 Tbs P2b and unsweetened chocolate almond milk! I omitted the chocolate square since I used other chocolate flavored ingredients. The rest of the ingredients were the same. The flavor is amazing!! I'm glad I have a tasty treat that fits into my clean diet!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great combo! I need to buy some peanut butter protein powder... :-)
DeleteStephanie that sounds great! Did you put less oats in it?
DeleteOh YUM! This looks DELICIOUS! Will have to try it this weekend as a treat:) Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess! Let us know what you think after you try it! :-)
DeleteWait...you don't cook the egg whites? Is that okay?
ReplyDeleteLiquid, pasteurized egg whites are safe. Just make sure they are pasteurized (they are in a carton near the normal eggs).
DeleteAwesome! Made them tonight and have been singing your praises! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you enjoyed it Kristy!
DeleteI love this so much... I just made a batch tonight and it is everything my sweet tooth has been craving since my switch to eating clean. Previously I've just been cutting up LUNA bars into small bite size pieces to conquer that craving. This is so much more delicious and nutritious! I didn't use the almond milk (I accidentally didn't see it because I was too excited to try it!) and they still turned out great!! Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteSO much better than Luna! ;-) Glad you enjoyed it! I am hoping to turn them into "real" cookies soon & will post once I have it exact!
DeleteMade this today and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! I will definitely be making it often!!! Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for trying it Sierra! I am glad you enjoyed it! :-)
DeleteThese are awesome.I almost lost a finger trying to get the last bit from the blender hehe.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick question. I used egg whites from actual eggs. Was that a bad idea?
Oh! I did cook one. Not bad. I think I prefer the dough.
Please don't loose any fingers! The cookie dough is amazing though!
DeleteAs for the egg whites, if they are available to you, we definitely suggest the pasteurized variety for health safety reasons.
Haha! None lost yet! I love this recipe! I had the ingredients so decided to make it. I will buy pasteurized for my next batch! Thanks!
DeleteYUM!!! This looks incredible and I cannot wait to try!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog - so glad I found you!
xx Atlas Grace
We hope you enjoyed the cookie dough! Glad you are enjoying the blog as well!
DeleteJust made these. OMG yum! I put the oats in first then processed them to a smooth, flour-like texture. I'm just not a fan of the texture of oats, but this works for me.
ReplyDeleteGood idea Kelly - I usually just throw everything in together! I'm glad you enjoyed them!
Deletei just tried this loved them! i didnt get as many as you did only about 5 lol
ReplyDeleteHAHA Candace! I usually eat half of them before they make it to the freezer! I'm glad you liked it! :-)
DeleteWhat could you use as a substitute for the PB? My daughter is highly allergic so all nut butters are out of the question.
ReplyDeleteLet us know what you think of the SunButter on here so that others who may have the same question can test it out if you like it!
DeleteTori,
ReplyDeleteHave you tried "butters" made with sunflower seeds, like SunButter?
I am not a fan of the taste by itself but will have to try it and see if the rest of the ingredients mask it. Thanks!
DeletePinning it right now! I am a sucker for cookie dough!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thank you! Let us know what you think after you make them! :-)
DeleteI just made these, oh my goodness!!! SO yummy! I'm proud of myself that any of it made it into the freezer ;) Thanks for all the incredible recipes! I'm eating clean- and having tons of success in my weight loss journey because of your helpful blog!
ReplyDeleteGreat, Thank you Annie! We love hearing this! Keep us updated on your journey! :-)
DeleteWill do, Whitney!!! :)
DeleteYour sister here. I just printed it out. Mad you didn't share with me ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Smash - Your sister here...sorry, have you tried it yet? LOVE YOU!!!!!!
DeleteSOOOOO good!!!! I made this when we were on vacation up the Poconos this week, and it was a HUGE hit even with the six kids between ages 3-8!!! There was hardly any left for moi!!!
ReplyDeleteYou need to make more Kate!! So excited to hear that everyone loved them! We hope you had fun on your vacation & we are glad that we could contribute in some small way! ;-)
DeleteI made these with natural almond butter and agave, so good!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried them with almond butter - I will have to try that! Thank you!
DeleteI made these today. I added a tiny bit of chocolate protein powder and used about 30 mini choc chips bc I didnt have squares. I was hesitant but these turned out amazing! They cured my sweet tooth after supper and were guilt free- the best part. I even ate just one for dessert. My husband gobbled some up too. I will be using this ALL the time. Thank you for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried using chocolate protein powder but that sounds good! I was pretty suprised at how good they were considering I just threw a bunch of stuff in the blender! :-) Thanks for trying them!
DeleteHi! Will try this as soon as posible, looks awesome! One question.. It says "2 tsp vanilla" , is it vanilla essence? Or vanilla protien powder? Is there supposed to be protein powder in this dough?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
Hi Klara! The vanilla is Pure Vanilla Extract (try to find the kind with no corn syrup added - usually near the spices)! No protein powder in this dough! I hope you enjoy them! :-)
DeleteI commented on facebook yesterday that I made this for the first time. I just left it in a container in the fridge and just get a spoonful when needed. I don't necessarily 'eat clean' or yet anyway but this is sooo good! No more candy for me! Thanks a ton!
ReplyDeleteOne small step at a time Christine! I'm glad we could help. Thanks for trying out the recipe! :-)
DeleteThis recipe blew my mind! If you have a sweet tooth (like I do) this is a must have. Thanks so much! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Marrissa! I'm glad you enjoyed them!
DeleteWhat are the oats you are referring to in this recipe? Steel cut or rolled? Thanks! One week in to these recipes and I've got a sweet tooth:)
ReplyDeleteThey are the Quick Oats (or Quick + 1 minute, something like that)!
DeleteI love, love, love these. I accidentally added 1/4 cup honey instead of 1 Tbsp so they were a bit runny but still awesome. My own fault. I can't wait to make them again.
ReplyDeleteYum yum yum! So good, have been craving sweet things lately!!
ReplyDeleteThese are delicious, what a great after workout snack!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat are He & She Eat Clean's thoughts on the Chocolate Covered Katie blog recipes in regards to eating clean?
ReplyDeleteI made these Saturday and they were delicious! My husband loved it as well...will be making more very soon to satisfy the cravings for sweets :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Even my little 2 year old loves them.(I did omit the egg whites). When she asks for a "treat", this is what I will be giving her from now on (instead of candy). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAfter my first two months of eating clean, one night I decided I needed something a bit sweeter than a banana. I came across this page and made these-- then immediately made two batches more to share with family. Amazing! The hardest part is keeping my husband from stealing them all. :)
ReplyDeleteAm i supposed to blend the ingredients in the blender or just mix them?
ReplyDeleteThese were much too wet to form into balls. Is it because I used Almond Butter?
