1 lb ground chicken breastItalian seasoning
Basil
Garlic Powder
2 egg whites
1/2 cup oats
1 cup tomato/spaghetti sauce (organic or homemade)
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix the "crust" (ground chicken breast, Italian seasoning, basil, garlic powder, egg whites & oats) by hand.
3. Flatten the "crust" on a pizza stone or in a 9X13" pan.
4. Bake the "crust" at 350 degrees for 20 min.
5. Take out the "crust" & add the tomato/spaghetti sauce & spread evenly.
6. Add the cottage cheese on top of the tomato/spaghetti sauce & spread evenly.
7. Add your choice of toppings.
8. Place pizza back in the oven for 10 min or until the cheese is the consistency you prefer.
9. Enjoy!

He & She Tip: Mix all the spices in a separate bowl & taste test it until you find your desired flavor combo. This will also help to get all the flavors mixed before adding to the meat.

Ohhh I am bookmarking this!
ReplyDeleteDanielle, have you made this yet? Curious to know how you liked it!
DeleteI make a clean eating pizza with a big portabella mushroom for the crust and top with pizza toppings if you love mushrooms you will love it!!!!
DeleteWe made this pizza tonight. I added red pepper flakes to the chicken crust and to the sauce to spice it up a bit. We grilled onions and topped with yellow peppers and mushrooms. Can't wait to make this one again!
DeleteI crave pizza now especially since I'm trying to eat better. And have managed to stay away so far. But, if I can find a healthier version I like, I can have it as much as I like. Will let you know how it turns out.
Deletei made this and even convinced my friend to try it with me! I didnt roll the "crust" out flat enough so it was a little thick but it was so good! We used red pepper, green pepper and onion pon ours. thanks for the receipe.
ReplyDeleteSo excited that you and your friend liked it!
DeleteDo you have a recommendation for someone who doesn't like cottage cheese?
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't taste cottage cheese-y! It just tastes like melted cheese to me! :-)
Deletei always wanted to eat pizza but i knew it wasnt healthy BUT NOW i have found HEALTHY PIZZA :) im so excited to try this and cant wait! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR RECIPES!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Please let us know how you like it!
DeleteI am making this now, but it all fell off the pan as I was putting it back in oven for last 10 minutes :(((( This should def be a more widely known recipe!
ReplyDeleteI ended up salvaging my creation and it ended up really good! Even my boyfriend who can eat everything bad and still stay in shape liked it. I made it with extra lean ground turkey and topped it with olives, mushrooms and a few turkey pepperonis (for him :)). I am having leftovers for lunch today!
DeleteThat's great!! So glad you were able to save it and you still enjoyed it!
Deletewhere do you buy ground chicken breast!? Or do you do it yourself?
ReplyDeleteI believe most grocery stores have ground chicken breast now days. Should be near where the ground turkey is. If you can't find the chicken, you could always just go for the turkey. The taste will be similar. You could also have the butcher at your grocery store grind chicken breast for you too.
DeleteOur grocery store never has ground chicken BREASTS they only have ground chicken (which is not the same thing). We have our store grind it for us but only ours will. We have tried at other stores but they have told us they are not allowed to. I believe if you have a KitchenAid mixer there is an attachment you can purchase to grind your own!
DeleteIf you can't find it and don't have a kitchenaid attachment, a quick way to grind meats is to throw them in a food processor. I would cut it into chunks first then throw it in, and keep an eye on it so you don't over-process and turn it into total mush/sludge.
DeleteOh also...can you use steal cut oats in this instead!?
ReplyDeleteIt may change the texture quite a bit, but it should work! Please let us know how it turns out!
DeleteWhat should the serving of this be for a woman?
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on your calorie needs, but given the macros, 2 slices would be average.
DeleteI am a health nut who has never been able to give up my once a week pizza night. You have MADE MY YEAR! Maybe even decade! I hate cottage cheese and loved it on this pizza. I made mine with sundried tomatoe, spinach, onion, red pepper and zucchini. I also made my sauce from scratch so I knew exactly what was going in to it. LOVE THIS! Husband approved!
ReplyDeleteOohh! Hadn't thought about the sundried tomatoes! So glad that you and your hubby both liked the pizza recipe!
DeleteFor anyone who is having trouble finding the ground chicken breast, I found it today at Aldi. Will be trying this recipe this week! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!
DeleteI tried this tonight and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. My husband and his brother loved it too. I put mushrooms, spinach and sundried tomatoes on ours! I've been eating clean and doing cross fit for about 4 weeks. However, Im not losing weight. It's extremely frustrating, mainly because my husband is.
ReplyDeleteShelly,
DeleteWe are so excited that you tried that our recipe! I love the pizza too!
As far as your results, give it time. Are you tracking your calories and mets? This makes a HUGE difference. Be sure that you are drinking at least a gallon of water as well. Also, you are most likely lifting more than you have been - you are bound to be losing fat and building muscle with weighs more than fat... give it time!
Keep us informed about your results!

How many servings is this for the 144 calories? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is one slice. A serving for me would be 2 slices.
DeleteThis is amazing, my wife I have been trying to loose weight for years now, to no avail. After browsing the "He And She" for the last few days we are definatly going to give healthy eating a try, as our new lifestyle. We love eating healthy foods, but we just have a bad habet of succumbing to "bad foods" and "cheat days". But we're going to start eating healthy today! We're going to start with groceries today and this healthy pizza when we get home for supper. It looks and sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Keep us posted and let us know how you are fairing.
DeleteLove your recipes! Planning on making this tonight. Was wondering what your suggestion is regarding how thin/thick you make your "crust?"
ReplyDeleteYou definitely don't want to roll it out too thin! (I made this mistake last week) I would shoot for at least 1/4" to about 1/2" in thickness.
DeleteThis may be a silly question but is the chicken cooked or raw when it's incorporated into the crust mix?
ReplyDeleteNot silly at all! It is raw! :-)
DeleteTotally amazing!!! This was with out a doubt delish & so glad I made it!! You would have never known there was cottage cheese on it and when your family loves it (husband & 2 girls(6,3) you know its a keeper!!
ReplyDeleteI just made it on a cookie sheet and in a square to fit the sheet.
We did: spinach, bella mushrooms, sun dried tomato's.
Glad you enjoyed it! :-)
DeleteI made this tonight with fresh basil and red onion and served it with a lettuce salad. It was very good but I'm confused about the serving size. Should this be cut in to 6, 8, 10?
ReplyDeleteWe cut ours into 8 pieces. I usually eat 2 slices but Scott eats more! The macros listed are per slice (assuming 8 slices).
DeleteIsn't this a recipe created by Toni Cisneros, from JE live fit group?!
ReplyDeleteYes - And that would be the reason why it says recipe by Toni Cisneros on the picture & also the reason why it says "The recipe is by Toni Cisneros (she gets all the credit!)" in the description. Toni gave her permission for us to use her recipe. We would never post something that someone else came up with without giving them credit. Thank you.
DeleteHmmmm....this is identical to my girlfriend's, Toni C's original clean pizza.

DeleteI am glad so many of you enjoy the pizza! I did give permission for this to be shared here and am glad many have tried it! This can also be made with Ground Turkey Breast. ~ Toni Cisneros
ReplyDeleteThanks Toni! :-)
DeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm making mine w/tofu instead of the cottage cheese because I'm allergic to milk. Hope it's as yummy as this one sounds!
ReplyDeleteI made this a few times and love it! The last time I made it I used turkey and taco seasoning in the "crust", topped with cottage cheese and black beans, then back in the oven. Then topped with onions, tomato's, jalapeño's, lettuce, and taco sauce!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That sounds AMAZING! Take a pic next time & post it on our facebook wall! I want to see!
DeleteJust made this and it is SOOOO Yummy!! and EASY!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by Italian seasoning? Are you talking about the dried mixed herbs marketed as Italian seasoning, or the packets that you would normally add oil and vinegar to to make dressing?
ReplyDelete?
DeleteDoes anyone know of any vegetarian options for the crust?
ReplyDeleteI have heard of cauliflower crust pizza but have never tried it myself.
DeleteI have friends who have made cauliflower crust before and said even their kids loved it! I have slightly sauteed zucchini, placed it on a pan, covered it with sauce and pizza toppings. It definitely helped fill my pizza void :-).
Deletei am sooooooooo making this, this weekend! Thank you cause i am craving pizza... why not go with a healther choice :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if anyones asked already but has anyone tried to freeze the base and cook from frozen in oven?
ReplyDeleteHow much basil garlic powder and Italian seasoning do I use??
ReplyDeleteDo you brown the chicken first?
ReplyDeleteNo, it is raw when placed in the oven.
DeleteMade this again tonight...on a cleanse so no cheese but topped with kale, red/yellow peppers, green onion, and red pepper flakes...SOOOO yummy! Thanx again!
ReplyDeleteWalmart has it now as well.
ReplyDeleteWhere???
DeleteAnyway to make this vegetarian or vegan in the crust? Substitutions??
ReplyDeleteThis recipe is a lifesaver! I've been trying the cauliflower crusts, but haven't had the best of luck with them. I made this crust tonight with ground turkey burger. It holds together very well and tastes great. I can't wait to try it again with different combos of toppings. I only used 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with my tomato sauce and added zucchini, red onion, colored peppers, chopped spinach, shredded carrot, avocado, and mushrooms. My husband and I downed the whole thing :) Thank you! (By the way- love the website. I'll be using it more often.)
ReplyDeleteI made this recipe tonight and I really liked it!!! my "crust" was a little soft still but it was still very yummy!
