This Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake is delicious, nutritious, filling, and easy to make. It requires only a few ingredients and serves as great fuel before a workout or a perfect recovery drink after a workout. It also makes for a quick and easy snack anytime throughout the day!
Scott here (surprise!) to talk about one of my favorite topics – PROTEIN SHAKES! Don’t worry, I have other interests too like finance, protein shakes, golf, protein shakes and hiking (only if I have a protein shake with me), but I do love me some protein shakes. Also, call me weird, but my absolute favorite cookie and ice cream flavor is oatmeal raisin. Whitney doesn’t quite agree with me on this one but she does love our Oatmeal Raisin Cookies & Oatmeal Raisin Energy Bites.
She has this thing where she thinks of recipe ideas and jots them down in random notes on her phone or in notebooks located randomly around the house. She was reading off some of the recipe ideas to me the other day and we decided this Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake needed to be the one we share ASAP because it is such a versatile little shake.
As I may have mentioned, I love protein shakes. I usually have at least one per day and have done so for years. I typically have a protein shake for breakfast (for some reason I don’t like hot foods in the morning…maybe it’s the Hotlanta humidity?) and then I’ll have one after the gym as well. As I said above, this shake is perfect any time of the day, but the protein and carbohydrate breakdown make it a great post-workout protein shake. Take my word for it when I say it takes like a cookie. It is good!
When Premier Protein sent us their 100% whey protein powder we were excited to give it a try in this recipe. We always get questions about protein powders and are excited to share our favorites. We love Premier Protein’s Whey Powder because it has no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. It packs 30 grams of 100% whey protein, 180 calories, and only 3 grams of sugar. Plus, the all-important taste factor – it tastes great and doesn’t have that chalky aftertaste like some protein powders. We used the vanilla milkshake flavor in this recipe but they also have chocolate milkshake available!
Protein shakes are convenient, filling, and can help you stay on the right track when trying to meet your health and fitness goals. Give this Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake a try and let us know if you love it too!
