RUNTOBER RUNNING CHALLENGE

Get your running shoes ready! This RUNtober Running Challenge is what you need to motivate yourself to do your cardio this month. The weather is cooling off, the days are getting shorter, and it’s the perfect time to take your cardio outside.

HOW TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE

This challenge can be done by beginners and advanced athletes alike. If this is too hard for you, decrease the time of the running intervals but make sure you are still pushing yourself (you can often do more than you think you can!). If this is too easy, increase the running interval time or sprint.

You’ll have three days per week where you will be running for this challenge. You can rearrange the days to fit your schedule if necessary. These days should not be your only workout days. In order to be a well-rounded athlete and meet your goals, you will also want to incorporate strength training and always remember to stretch (dynamic warm-up before your run and static after your run)! If you are looking for a detailed workout plan that will tell you exactly what to do we have one for you – whether you want to continue to focus on running while adding in strength or if you are more focused on a transformation type plan. Here you can see all of our workout plans.

SAFETY REMINDER

We always advocate for you seeking physician clearance before beginning any new exercise regimen. Always be aware of your surroundings when exercising outside!

PRINT THIS CHALLENGE

If you want a black and white copy of this challenge, we have that for you too! It makes it easier to print without wasting as much ink. 🙂 Sign up for our newsletter here and you will be redirected to a black and white version immediately. Grab the printable challenge here.
