It’s that time again. Can you believe it?
Most people have resolutions that involve eating healthy, working out, and saving money. We actually love to do all three and that’s good because they truly go hand in hand!
We often hear “it’s so expensive to eat healthy” but it is only as expensive as you make it. We’ve actually found that since we started on this journey we usually spend less money because we don’t buy random things and we quit eating out as much! We do try to buy mostly organic produce and grass-fed meat because we feel that it is worth the price.
Speaking of price and saving money…
You probably know by now that we love Food Lion as we’ve shared about them on Facebook and also during the holidays when we made this delicious Stovetop Spiced Apple Cider. What you may not know about Food Lion is how cost effective it is to shop there!
You can count on Food Lion for consistently low prices, weekly sales, name brand items, and private label items. Food Lion offers low prices on the essentials like eggs, dairy, and bread making it easy to feed your family for less. With savings like these, there is no need to shop at multiple stores to save on groceries.
You can easily throw together a meal for under $10 by shopping at Food Lion! One of our favorites and easiest during this busy time of year is a rotisserie chicken paired with sweet potatoes (these Texas-Style Sweet Potato Fries are our favorite!) and a vegetable. You’ll have an inexpensive yet delicious meal for the whole family! It’s a smarter way of shopping! 😉
We also love their in-store made salads for those days when we don’t have time to cook or forgot our lunch. The salads are only $4.98! Did we mention their VERY large selection of organic and natural foods?!
While you are on your new journey to a more healthy and wealthy version of yourself in the new year you may want to keep these No Bake Energy Balls on hand! These are perfect for when a craving hits but you don’t want to dig into the pint of ice cream. These were made with ingredients all from Food Lion so next time you are there add these to your shopping list. You can thank us later!
P.S. If you are up for a challenge in 2019 try one of our fitness challenges paired with one of our finance challenges!
