Clean Eat Recipe :: Make Your Own Ranch Seasoning Mix

We shared our Taco Seasoning Mix and now it's time for a Ranch Seasoning Mix!  In the past, I would use ranch packets to season meat until I actually became aware of the ingredients.  It's much easier and more cost-effective to make your own!  Not to mention, MUCH better for you!

Recipe from Bake Your Day

2 Tbsp dried parsley
2 tsp dried dill
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried chives
pinch of salt

1. Mix all spices together!

He & She Tips: Makes the equivalent of two store bought packets.  Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise to make ranch dressing!

  1. hi. I was wondering if you could please tell me the yogurt to 'packet' ratio please? Is it a packet to 1/2c? (also parsley is spelled a little off. :)

Going to get a few items needed for this now. Thank you!

    1. Thanks for the heads up on the spelling! I fixed it! :-) It dpends on how strong you want it. I would start with 1 Tbsp of the mixture and you can always add more!

  2. You can also use raw cashews blended with water as a base instead of yogurt or Mayo-- works awesome!

    1. Wow! Never thought of that! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I add this to cottage cheese and use it as a dip for veggies-SO yummy!!

    1. That sounds awesome! I will have to try it!

  4. What are the calories on this? My husband and I just started eating clean and we are hvaing a little trouble eating the plain veggies, we thought this might be the trick we need, btu we dont want to eat it with out meals and then blow our calories.

    1. The calories would just be from the Greek yogurt or whatever product you are adding this to!

  5. Hey was wondering you could omit the chives... would it make a difference?

  6. I am looking forward to trying this as a replacement for the Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packets. I see the notation that one "batch" of this seasoning is the equivalent to (2) HVR packets, but I find this hard to believe since there is such a difference in volume. I just wanted to make sure I was clear on this since my recipe does call for two packets. Thanks in advance for any clarification!
